Die Ausstellung ACTA von Annelies Senfter in der Neuen Galerie zeigt die Werkserie Protokoll des Schweigens, die sich Fluchthelfenden und Opfern in der NS-Zeit in Osttirol widmet. Im Zentrum stehen dabei sowohl das kollektive Erinnern als auch das Schweigen einer Gemeinschaft. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis setzt Senfter die Vergangenheit behutsam in einen neuen Kontext, um ein respektvolles Miteinander in der Gegenwart zu fördern und die Basis für zukünftiges Erinnern zu schaffen. Die Ausstellung ACTA ist Teil des von Bettina Siegele kuratierten Jahresprogramms Chronopolitische Erkundungen.
The exhibition ACTA by Annelies Senfter at the Neue Galerie presents the work series Protokoll des Schweigens (Protocol of Silence), which is dedicated to those who helped refugees and the victims during the time of National Socialism in East Tyrol. The focus is on both the collective memory as well as the silence of a community. In her artistic practice, Senfter carefully places the past in a new context in order to promote a respectful coexistence in the present and to pave the way for a future way of remembering. The exhibition ACTA is part of the annual programme Chronopolitical Explorations curated by Bettina Siegele.
